Signal analysis is performed by FFT and zero-crossing analysis algorithms.
Non-linear calibrations, out-of-limits warnings, etc. are handled
by internal look-up tables. Results are displayed in bar-chart
and numerical formats.
The instrument can be pre-configured for different operations such as individual Line signalling combinations. The user scrolls around a menu screen to select a particular signal system, which is remembered by the instrument next time it is switched on.
The software can easily be modified or extended to suit different requirements.
