The
Portable
Ultra
Sound
Processor (PUSP) is a compact,
battery-powered instrument combining ultrasound signal time expansion
& compression with FFT and zero-crossing ultrasound signal analysis into
an easy-to-operate, compact instrument.
PUSP captures (in 5 selectable modes) up to 2.2 seconds (per Mb of memory) of ultrasound
signal from the U30 Detector, processing and displaying the signal in
amplitude, frequency, period and FFT spectral formats on its built-in
graphics screen. Scroll keys allow any part of the signal to be examined
in detail, and all or part of the signal can be selected for output to
an audio recorder (in time-expanded form), to serial or parallel
printers, or dumped to computer.
Signals, stored on an audiorecorder in
time-expanded form, can be restored via PUSP to their original speed,
for "real-time" output via the
Ultrasound Loudspeaker System.
